PJ, thanks for that link and the background info. It's easy to casually read about a diving incident somewhere in Gort, shrug and pass it off as an unfortunate, random misadventure. Making the connection there with someone as full of enthusiasm and adventure as Artur certainly brings perspective. In the Doolin cave some years ago I couldn't imagine the tenacity and courage it took to explore the original entrance to the system, with it's spectacular and colossal stalactite the ultimate reward for perseverance. Cave exploration requires unbelieveable courage, physical strength, technical skill and banks of self belief. Incredible man, incredible life. RIP Artur Kozlowski.
