Ah the no traffic jam town? Why not move Pollatomais?

But if you switch to a two into one lane rush - would it be a) safer or b) faster?

I doubt it because then you have two unmarked lanes both claiming that they can use the single lane on exit 2 (as per one interpretation of the old rules of the road) or alternatively you just swap the lanes - the left is full and the right is empty.

The whole point is that there is more traffic wanting to exit on preferred routes at certain times of the day - it waxes and wanes - sunrise sunset.

Traffic lights would simply make the queues longer. A straight four-way junction would favour the light traffic route.

The fact that we have a bypass in the middle of the town (thanks to FF's P Flynn?) - it was a called a white elephant at the time because they thought no one would use it - but in reality like all FF projects it should never have been put there in the first place. The bypass should have been located about two miles out of town and circled the down.

Now we have idiots arguing over the markings on the two into one lanes - but it's obvious that they have never travelled our own green isle and looked at roundabouts all over the country - nor in our neighbouring isle where even with two into two lane roundabouts pretty much everywhere - the markings vary depending on the morning rush hour and the evening rush hour. Traffic jams happen!
