I agree with the previous poster. It seems sheer madness, and is al;ready casung traffic chaos. And while I'm at it, the with of the footpath outside the Garda Station is about 14 feet in parts. All jokes aside, it's wide enough for a car, and seems totally illogical. The narrowing of the road coupled with the balloon shape of the area/footpath in front of the Green Bay, is actually dangerous and should not have been permitted. Also, these so called "crossings" are meaningless, in that they're not legal pedestrian crossing, as far as I know. they're more courtesy crossings, but don't think pedestrians have right of way, my information is that they don't.Same applies to the hilllocks on Main Street. If they want them to serve as pedestrial crossings, and we certainly need some, put flashing amber lights there as is normal for all other pedestrial crossings throughout the country. I think the powers that be have made an almight cock up of the area around the green.
