I agree that the programme was dire. Gay Byrne, like him or not, was the only one who could have made a right job of it, assuming RTE gave him a few decent performers to work with. Also folks, and as Miriam would say, I mean this sincerely, that was actually Brendan Bowyer who did the Hucklebuck, and not Butch Moore who died in 2001 and who walked the streets in the rain.
