New Year's TV

Given that the Troika are asking for billions - hundreds of billions - in reparation for Fianna Fail-led government indiscretions over a long period of time.

Given that we elected them.

Given that we decided that about half of our local coco representatives should be actively involved in making their living by selling property.

Given that FF decided to pay the bond holders before the ordinary breakfast-roll man driving a 4x4 and with a humongous mortgage.

Is it not a great achievement that our national TV station produced a live New Year's Eve programme celebrating 50-years since Dev reluctantly went on TV for the first time on NYE 1961?

While the BBC - icon of the Empire opted to put a pre-recorded programme out to celebrate the very year in which they will host the Olympic Games - including Imelda May who was live in Cashlebar on the very moment that the fireworks went off in JOOL's studio?

Kudos to RTE
