As previously posted dogs do not need to be on a leash in public, but under control. It is not an offence to have a dog in public and not on a leash.

So the police enforce the law as it stands, not made up laws of concerned citizens. (The town council can create a local by-law so speak if needs be).

To the poster who can't bring their child(ren) there because they are afraid of dogs - unfortunate but not really the dog owners problem.
