For diabetes, use Cinnamon, a heaping spoon on your oatmeal. It controls sugar and lowers it, somehow. Trick from china.
A 40 minutes work out 3 times a week is like a dose of insulin for diabetes, and it makes you very solid. I can feel it. I carry a oatmeal bar because my sugar level gets so low. I get light headed. You don't want to drive like that. You can eat a oatmeal bar and your sugar stays mostly low. I get up in the morning many times at about 99. I get kidded a lot of times, from the other old fellows for eating a second breakfast. culater
