I, unlike you and Ms Mulherin, insist on dealing in facts, realities and the task at hand.

I read that our so called democracy has taken over 20 years to legislate on a decision ratified by the Irish people, to provide access to an abortion in certain defined circumstances.

I read that women still have to leave the country to access a service that should be legislated for at home, prolonging their suffering.

I hear that women with babies who will die at birth, babies with catastrophic disabilities, have no option but to proceed to labour and watch their babies die, sometimes in great pain.
