Can you please use some punctuation, makes it easier to read.
But a few points of clarity. If clergy and other members of religious orders abused on a massive scale, what adjective would you use for the rest of society, who carried out the majority of abuse in Irish society?
I can give you many examples of where the state refused or was unable to aid those less fortunate, and the church helped out thankfully.
And we can point to education, which the state was unable or unwilling to provide the infrastructure to educate its people.
I am not going to excuse the actions of some, but I despair in arguments like these, where someone uses emotive language and bullies others into submission and silence. The last couple of lines is typical bully tactics.
