The report also goes on to quote the Minister For Defence saying ... "he understoot that Mayo County Council had earmarked Castlebar Barracks for a particular use" ... and that is ???????

I understand from last weeks reports that the council had no idea what to use the vacant facility for and were seeking ideas from the public, but that in any event it would be left vacant for the next number of years, by which time the council will have paid over the 600,000 !
