As for this board? I haven't posted too regularly in the last ten years myself, as I've been one of those long-siphoned away to other message boards and social networks. I used to complain too that it was an old style and prone to weakness, and when someone else started posting under my name causing trouble, it really put me off for a while.

Still, its simplicity may be key to its longevity. You don't need to go through the rigamarole of registering or e-mail addresses to post here, and since it's not a bustling board, it doesn't typically attract a bunch of spammers or troublemakers. People posting here do so because they have some strong connection to the town and not because something else brought them here begging to heckle or preach in a comments section. My Dad liked coming here because of that sense of simplicity and inclusion.
