In the light of todays report compiled by Senator Martin McAleese, is it right that they Mercy order in Castlebar continue to reside in relative luxury in considerable property holdings within the town of Castlebar, whilst the victims of the order, who were incarcerated in the Magdeline laundries still fight for compensation.
Effectively, as far as I'm concerned, the two plush nursing homes on the hill alongside the N5 in Castlebar built to house retired members of the order, were built on the immoral profits earned on the backs of these poor women.
Lots of good innocent nuns living there. but the buildings themselves are a symbol of somethign rotten and truly evil
