Ban a piece of clothing? Really? You do realise that hoodies are the most ubiquitous piece of clothing going don't you? Practically every top sold to persons under 35 has a hood now. What about all the clothes shops in the town? Are the council going to buy out their stock, or just hang them out to dry? Are they going to restock my wardrobe after all my hoodies have been burned at the stake? And what about jackets?? The actual hood seems to be the councilor's sticking point, so I assume jackets are going to have go too. The thing is Michael, it can get fairly cold in Castlebar you know. Presumably scarves will have to be banned as well, after all they can be used to conceal your face. My God they're nearly as bad as those nefarious hoodies! And don't get me started on Burqas!
Like seriously, between Michelle Mulherin's 'fornication', Fidelma Healy Eames's 'people being raped on the internet', and these godforsaken hoodies you'd wonder how the country isn't on its knees at the minute. Oh wait, it is? Well what are we waiting for, ban them! Hoodies are obviously the problem!
In the words of the great Fr. Dougal McGuire 'You know this is one of those times when I'm absolutely one hundred million percent sure that you'd be doing the right thing
