I know 'The Advertiser' is a 'freesheet' and accordingly you should expect much in the way of 'quality reporting' but did anyone bother reading the 'Front Page' Exclusive they have on the 'Boom In Property Sales' in Mayo for the last year
They go to great lengths of explaining the increased number of properties sold and the average price increase since last year.. but they fail to mention one very important FACT in the whole 'Property Scene' over the last 2 years .. its the 'Fire Sales' by companies such as Alsops.
These sales weren't on the scene a couple of years ago and as such the 'increased' no. of units being sold is a direct response to the no. of repossessions .. etc
ie .. the market is basically 'all over the place' and NO INDICATIONS can be drawn .. good bad or indifferent ...
