Repossession of anyone's house is a serious concern. Whether they're from South Dublin of South Kerry I don't give a fiddler's curse, but I think what's happening regarding this whole issue is not simple and the banks, which were bailed out by the people of Ireland, are simply walking all over people. It's beyond me why the government will not insist on making the banks be more proactive in their dealings with this extremely thorny issues. I have heard of cases where the banks insisted on repossessing, then selling on the property for sfa and would not even allow the "owners" to bid for the property, and if they had, the banks would have got more money than they eventually did. It's crazy and I don't see any remedy in sight, unless the banks are made drop their veto on the insolvency proposals.
