Ms Halloran wrote an article in the Western People this week about the Mini Marathon (sponsored by The Western People) and obviously thought that she was writing a wonderful witty, amusing account of the event but instead it is a damp squib that emits a smell of rotten eggs.
Tracey May Halloran would do well to remember that the people she referred to as large, with backsides like stuffed turkeys, pay her wages and support the paper she writes for. People place a lot of energy, effort and determination into supporting local charities getting sponsorship and walking or running 10k in all weathers. It was poor journalism at its best and the editor who allowed it to go to print should look the quality of his work in the future. I expect to hear a full apology being issued by the management and Ms Halloran. If I were as uncouth, ignorant & rude as Ms Halloran I could state the truth of her journalism but Iím not. Undoubtedly it is hoped that this article will improve the sales of the paper but I sincerely hope this is not the case. Shame on you.
