You are wrong, very wrong my friend, Germany is always represented at the remembrance day services in November in London, and The German Chancellor laid wreaths at tomb of unknown soldier in Westminister abbey in London. I am British myself and living in Ireland i think its an excellent thing to invite the British Prime Minister why? because we have moved on from the past while not forgetting it we are not inciting any hatred towards the people of Britain today for the terrible events that took place in Ireland we are closer today than any other time in our history, we cant change the past a sorry past! but we can work together in mutual friendship and respect for the future. I know of many former German officers now getting on in years who i have met at the war memorial in London on Remembrance Sunday, with no feelings of bitterness but deep regret for things of the past. Yes David Cameron should be here for Easter Rising celebrations as a sign that we salute those who gave their lives in a cause of freedom so the people of these islands should live in mutual respect and peace, today there is an excellent relationship between the peoples of Ireland and the United Kingdom long may that continue and grow no room now for bigotary and hatred leave them where they belong in the past.
