Eaten bread is soon forgotten. I believe P Flynn had an influence on the new police station when he was minster for justice, and I recall a new fire station, library, county council buildings when he was minister for Environment. None of this is right, the dail should decide the national issues. Each county council should be given a share of the tax and let us run our own affairs. Mayo needs a great leader that can lay out the future of the county without foreign direct investment, without reliance on imported energy. I'm thinking of pole topper Michael Kilcoyne surely he can set up some indigenous non funeral related business for the county town. That will bring the young people back and line the pockets of the night clubs and taverns in the town.
