If the government had not been so ham-fisted in its introduction of water charges there would have been little objection. If they had put a flat rate charge on each house and not put in meters (which cost millions) the thing would be up and running now. If they had curtailed the huge bonuses to the bosses of Irish Water and some workers, that would have been a big help
The next trouble spot I see in the offing is weighing the rubbish bins, which seems set to happen later this year. Where does the powers that be think all the money for the extra costs come from. The public generally, are not highly paid like our elected representatives.
