I dont think Its as bad as you Imagine Yes Castlebar is not without Its problems but Its still a relativly safe town.
Id Imagine though people see the trend is going in the wrong direction and as other towns get cameras theyre afraid that the problems might get pushed over here.
I was surprised (and saddened) to go into a shop in Erris over the summer and see a fairly top- notch security camera system there. Was crime there really so bad there that the proprieter was saving money by having it. Maybe were not safe anywhere ?
