According to a nurse I know (no, not like that) the majority of nurses are in the INO. That means you've over 20,000 people paying union dues each month of (she pays £15) and they've never been on strike before.
Doesn't make sense to me.
I'm not a union fan normally but I'll blame the politicians on all sides regardless of how the strike progresses.
Its farcical that highly trained people with 5 to 10 years experience in a career as critical as nursing should be paid less than a graduate starting off in computing.
