Ok.

1) The UN was set in place to protect all human rights, including democracy, worldwide. It was not set in place to be a useless moral support system for the victims of such invasions. Nor was it created to be a timid organisation afraid of it's own shadow. The UN is a powerful organisation, and should not be afraid of "setting of", sic, a war with anyone.

2) The mandate of protecting democracy, you will be surprised to hear, includes Pakistan. And Indonesia.

The UN charter does not allow leniency in this respect because Pakistan "is a nuclear power next to another nuclear power.

3) Non-intervention in this matter is very likely to implicitly allow a nuclear war to occur between Pakistan and Indonesia due to the Pakistani military's aggressive stance towards border disputes with India.

4) It is hard to complain about living conditions, lack of democracy, etc, with armed soldiers roaming the streets to ensure silence.

I was not preaching, I was opinionating.

You, apparently, were waffling.

I'll get my facts right next time if you get your spelling right.

yrs.
