Has anyone ever wondered if the gene pool has developed a new breed of public representative especially for the west of Ireland? We always seem to end up with a motley crew of fascists, racists and gangsters.
At the moment the hot favourite is Mr. Gavin with his hardline (and illegal) stance on underage hoodlums.
Then we have the Flynns, whose record speaks for itself.
We also have councillor Flannagan from Charlestown who wanted to have all travellers castrated and sent to the Aran Islands.
Finally, we have the bold Enda Kenny announcing his anger at being targeted by Fianna Fail as sitting on a shaky seat. No bloody wonder – he only appears at election time. If Fianna Fail hadn’t reminded me, I’d have forgotten he existed.
Oh, I nearly forgot - our MEP is DANA! I rest my case.
