Must admit I don't reckon she's got off so lightly. The public humiliation and the driving ban and fine are not insignificant. Also she does have a young kid if I'm not mistaken so I would have been disgusted if the judge had sentenced her in those circumstances with no previous convictions (that I know of) against her.
People rant on about special treatment because of who they are. There are two sides to that sword. She should not be analysed into oblivion for an act which would have merited a minor article in the CT if it had been anyone else.
