It's an ancient Irish tradition. It's called tipping the forelock. We never question what our English masters do, ie shooting dead innocent civilians on Bloody Sunday, or using plastic bullets at football matches, or using plastic bullets on our children (yes I do consider children in the Six Counties as OUR children, as in Irish children), or making anauthorised incursions into the 26 Counties, or poisoning our sea with Selafield. We can't seem to break the habit.
