C O' C topped the poll the last time, which doesn't say much as he was in competeition with the likes of O' hanlon, Boylan, a protestant called seymour who should do as his name suggests and say less, and a m*r*n with a good cavan name called Smith.
Since then, he has done little or nothing for either his constituency or his country like most of these disastrous politicians that we have now adays. And some of them are a disastor even by our corrupt Irish standards.
Why do they continously live in the hands and backpockets of corporate entities. Why does Bertie not see the harm in being in someone's backpocket. let's say for example take a business man like Desmott delmond.
how many times has Bertie Ahern had lunch or dinner with DD. has he ever taken any money from DD, one of his companies, for his own benefit or the benefit of the party. Did he ever witness any transactions between DD and CJH. Has he ever had a free holiday from this man, a lift to a football match or even a free flight to a football match with this chap.
If any of the above is seen to be true, then there is something rotten in the state of Ireland, something deeply rotten in this country.
I propose that a country with a population litlle over the size of Birmingham should have a group of TD's equal to the number of MPs for Birmingham and none of this globetrotting pussyfooting around.
How many of our ministers were in Ireland on duty last week. Did the rest never here of videoconferencing or more efficient ways of doing business in the digital era or are these guys to busy adding the half pence to the pence.
Well you know what they say about romantic ireland. The Mohair suit brigade of Fianna Fail corrupted it totally in the late 60s and 70s and this nation will never be the same again.
