This is a long shot, but does anyone have any information on Lynskey or Mullen involvment in the Young Ireland Rebellion of 1848 in Mayo and Galway? My great, great grandparents left Ireland shortly after the Rebellion during the winter of 1848 on an American ship bound for New Orleans. They brought three of their four children with them: Bridget (7), Celia (3), and Timothy (2), but left an infant, Mary, behind, presumably with family. She left Ireland in 1867 and joined her family in Sandusky, Ohio.
