Anyway, I found this article on the Adrenaline Vault (big games news site) about how computer games can be detrimental to a person's social skills and development.
It also mentions the CPL (Cyberatletes Professinoal League) and how the sport of computer gaming can be compared to more traditional sports.
It's a really good read and I'd recommend it to anyone who has ever called a computer games player a nerd or geek because they're too ignorant to know better.
And yes, I do believe computer games are at a level where they can be called a sport (in some instances).
