The Commission promotes Europes intersts,
The Council promotes member States interests,
The Parliment promotes Individual European Citizens rights.
There is a lack of accountability as well as an inbalance between the three main institutions.
Unfortunatly the Council power is greater then that of both the comission & parliment, the comission tends to unfairly get the blame for an democratic defecit in the E.U.'s institutions.
It is essential thet the Parliament, which is the Unions only democratically elected institution should gain equal or greater status than the other 2 core institutions.
I also believe a Europhile like myself cannot use the all-American Mickey Mouse as my BB name, so I have changed to the great European cartoon character Asterix.
