There are plenty of bins around the town although they usually are full or nearly full.If I was the Litter Warden, there would be a lot of fines dished out in Castlebar. A lot of people would swear that they were being asked to walk to the top of Neiphin carrying a concrete block rather than a piece of paper thirty yards. Sheer laziness is what is behind it, and contempt for the environment. If we don't have a clean place to live then whats the point in all these new developments, they're only going to be brought down by the amount of litter strewn around the place. However, there is a certain amount of the blame to be put on the laissez-faire public authorities who couldn't be bothered enforcing the litter (and for that matter tobacco) regulations and who have been taking years to put a proper waste management strategy in place. For Everybodys sake please put your litter in the bin!!!!!
