Recently on a visit to Castlebar I passed roadworks in progress in the vicinity of the entrance to the Military Barracks; pipes were being laid. A notice at the site apologised for any inconvenience caused and intimated that the purpose of the works was to provide a "TV, 'Phone and Internet service".
Can anybody throw some light on what exactly is going on?
