I heard a fella on the late late show one night saying there was no such thing as nad english because languages evolve,as all modern european languages evolved from latin,and thats all they're doing,changing over time.
They reckon that only for global communications that Americans would be speaking quite a different language from English now,sure look at Gaelic,Scots gaelic,irish,Manx gaelic,they're all fairly alike but changed in a short period of time.
And in Shakerspears time they actually spoke like that,wasn't just put on,and we have trouble understanding a lot of it whereas your average commoner would have had no trouble back then
