I see everyone talks about connection speeds of modems.
Its pretty meaningless. (a bit like hits? ha ha hhhhaaaaa;) )
The "connect as" speed may mean anything. It may mean the speed the computer connects to the modem (not the internet). If it is showing the *right* speed its only for the moment you logged on, and changes as your on the net. What time you went on .....what ISP you are using,...what web site you are logged onto.....what other packages you have open...what type of files, text, pics you are downloading, or playing games.....what settings are set on your modem (e.g MTU settings) ......blah blah yawn....
