What I think, (and please go easy, this is only my opinion, I'm not saying it's fact)it's a bunch of sick kids that hate the world because they don't fit into it. They take out their anger on other people because they don't know what else to do with it. There are a lot of them over here, but until the Columbine tragedy, they didn't have the conviction to do anything.
Just recently a first-year walked into some school over here, he had told people he was going to do it. Nobody took him seriously. They said he was just a skinny kid that got picked on. One adult actually told the kid that if he tried bringing a gun to school that he'd find out before he got to the school and kick his ass for it (yes, I'm paraphrasing). Come on, what the hell do you think a kid that's been pushed around to the point of talking about bringing a gun to school is going to do when an adult says something like that to him?
It's a stupid waste of life. I feel very sorry for the parents, the kids that died, their friends.
We need to figure out what's wrong with these kids, why they're doing it, not just lock them up.
Nobody knows who's going to do something next. I couldn't walk around with my friends wearing our normal clothes for a month after Columbine without getting weird looks. (Black leather trenchcoats and Ozzy shirts make people nervous)
I just want to make sure that this doesn't happen in my little brother's school when he gets to high-school, or my nephew's school when he gets there. I don't want to see metal detectors go into the schools in this area. But I also don't want to see more kids dying.
