Those who disagreed with the drugs laws (and who had a vote in Connaught/Ulster) had a chance to do something about it at the last European election when one of the candidates was standing on a legalise cannabis ticket but how many people bothered to even turn out to vote.
While I dont think "Ming" Luke Flannigan could have won on that occasion 100,000 or even 50,000 votes for him would at least have put the question onto the political agenda and would have made politicians and the media realise that the war on drugs policy does not have universal support.
As it turned out Ming did well to get the 5000 odd votes that he did and the only kick in the **** that the people of Connaught/Ulster deliver to the government was to elect that well known radical anti-establishment revolutionary DANA ???????????
