Members are reminded that this Thursday evening 21st February famous Irish nature photographer, Mike Browne will be showing a selection of his work and talking about same at 7.30pm in GMIT, Castlebar. There will be signage in the College foyer to guide you to where Mike's talk takes place and it is advisable to come early as a large crowd is expected. This session is a promotion of Bird Watch, Ireland and there will be a small cover charge to defray the costs of the night.

Last Thursday evening, member Frances Rosser showed a selection of her pictures and gave us the story behind each of them. She then challenged members to do likewise and those who took her up on the challenge included, Michael Gannon, John Walsh, Derick Smyth, John Joyce, Nat Ruane, Esther Burke and Michael O'Sullivan. The resultant display of pictures was very good and the stories behind them made for a fascinating evening at Castlebar Camera Club.

To wind up this most romantic day member Eleanor Robinson and Michael Ormsby announced that they had chosen that day to get engaged, to the delight of all present who wished them the best of luck and great happiness in the future.

For interesting and variety filled evenings, Castlebar Camera Clubs weekly meetings normally in Room SR14, GMIT, Castlebar at 7.45pm sharp is the venue to head for. See you there.
