This Thursday evening at 8.00pm sharp members are reminded to have their entries on hand for the clubs momthly competition. This months theme is "emotion" so will we see lots of Valentine style entries, or will the judge for the evening see some widely varying interpretations of this challenging topic?

  Last Thursday evening member Kevin Murphy AIPF, led the meeting through the highly technical but very rewarding area of Close Up and Macro Photography. Kevin explained the problems one meets in this field of photography and showed ways and means of getting good quality results from members Macro and Close up efforts. The very laege attendance thouroughly enjoyed the presentation and got a chance to try this type of work for themselves under Kevins guidance before the meeting concluded.

 We have had some interest in our Cameras for Christmas and wish to invite anybody who got a new camera at Christmas and is struggling to get to grips with it to drop in to the Club meeting on Thursday evenings in room Sr14, GMIT, Castlebar, between 8 & 10.00pm. and we will help them get the best from the gadget.
