Members are looking forward to a two week break from the regular meetings over the Easter Holidays, but in case they miss the club activities there is on Sunday 1st April a short morning outing to Turlough Round tower, Straide Abbey and Ballylahan Castle.

Last Thursday evening Sheridan Gilmartin took members through the intricacies of digital photo printing, covering  such important area as Monitor calibration, paper choice, grey scale printing and other important areas to get the best from your digital or film images.

The next meeting of the club will be on Thursday April 19th when we hold the second last round in Our Photographer of the Year Competition. The theme is open, usual rules apply and we look forward to an interesting and exciting event.

Congratulations to Eamonn Mc Carthy who has just completed 3+ years as President of The Irish Photographic Federation. Eamonn was presented with a plaque to commemorate his term of office by club Chairperson, Michael O'Sullivan, on behalf of The Federation at last Thursdays meeting. Michael is National Distinctions Secretary of the Federation and also a National Council Member.

Three members of the club are submitting panels for approval at the next distinctions judging session to be held in the Plaza Hotel, Tallaght, Co. Dublin on 21/22 April next. More details on this event later.

Now is one of the best times of the year to be out with your camera so join our outings or come to our meetings to add a new dimmension to your photography.
