On Saturday June 21st last 10 hardy photographers travelled to Inismore, the largest of the three Aran Islands. In a first for the club, nine overnighted on the Island using local B&Bs and 2 actually camped.

The early part of Saturday was not bad weatherwise but as the day progressed things gradually disimproved to become the worst 21st June for at least 10 years. We took a mini bus tour with Oliver who was a wonderful host and guide, filling in the gaps in our island knowledge and bringing us to the seal coloney, Kilmurvey Beach and Dun Aengus. By evening the storm had settled in for the night and it was a cracker, teeming rain and gale force winds. Sunday morning things had settled down somewhat and some more photos were taken before catching the 12.30 pm boat to Rossaveel and home.

The Intrepid 10 who travelled were; Leonie Monaghan, Annie Henrick, Angela Clarke, Frances Rosser, John Walsh, Pat Mc Namara, Noel O'Neill, Michael Gannon, Paul Malone & his bicycle and Michael O'Sullivan.

Despite the adverse conditions all vowed that it was a great trip and hoped for better conditions on their next visit.
