Castlebar Christian Fellowship

Welcome to Castlebar Christian Fellowship, situated here on the green in Castlebar.
It’s regarded as the oldest building in town having special links with John Wesley the famous 18th Century Christian leader and founder of Methodism and also a frequent visitor to Castlebar. The foundation stone for the building was dedicated by Wesley on May 21st 1785, and seemingly this is the only building on the Island of Ireland to have this unique ‘hands on’ link with Wesley. The people at that time placed a memorial stone above the front door to record the event.

Pastor Cathal Duffy

Today the building houses a Pentecostal Congregation ( www.elim.ie) that is predominantly made up of local people from Mayo but also includes people from many different nations and reflects the diversity of contemporary Ireland.

We meet every Sunday at 10.30 am. We also have regular ‘get-togethers’ throughout the week, including a lively ‘Kidz Club’ on Monday 6.30 pm (for Children of primary school age) and our youth meet on Saturday 8.00 pm. (Age 12+)
If we can be of any further help to you please contact us at (094) 9035497 or e-mail us castlebarchristianfellowship@eircom.net , or if you are in the area why not just call in. We are usually open from Tuesday to Friday from 11.00am.
