Welcome to Cuidiú/The Irish Childbirth Trust's parent/toddler group. Our branch was set up in 1986 by mothers from Dublin and Cork Cuidiu-ITC. We hope that within our group you and your children will find support and friendship.

Cuidiu/Irish Childbirth Trust is a parent to parent community based voluntary support group.
It's motto is education and support for parenthood.

What do we have to offer you?

  • We hold coffee mornings from 10.30 to 12.30 am every Friday (school term)
    In the Social Center, Second floor, Castlebar
  • The children have toys to play and a snack is provided.
  • Nappy changing
  • A restricted area for Breast-feeding
  • There is a small library
  • Antenatal support
  • Breast-feeding support.
  • Educational courses
  • Social events
  • We are currently training some of our members to become
    postnatal support and breastfeeding counselors



To help towards upkeep and refreshments
there is a charge of £1.00 for members and £1.50 for non-members

aims to provide information to parents which allows them to make informed
choices about pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood
