Distance : 65 miles, 104 kms

This tour heads north out of Castlebar and takes in the famous fishing lakes of North Mayo including Lough Cullin and Lough Conn at Pontoon. It then passes by the home of our former President of Ireland, Mrs. Mary Robinson before making its way to the busy market town of Crossmolina. It then turns due east and into Mayo's second town of Ballina, which is built on the world famous Moy salmon river. It then travels south along the route of the Moy to the town of Foxford, made famous by its wollen mills and the famous Foxford rugs and blankets. It then passes by Callow lake and into the busy market town of Swinford and then turns west back into Castlebar, passing through the villages of Bohola and Ballyvary. On the outskirts of Castlebar the route passes Turlough House which is currently being renovated as part of the National Museum of Ireland.
