Hennigan's Heritage Centre:
An authentic experience of life and traditions in rural Ireland.  School groups are welcome. Open March to September 7 days a week.

Turlough Round Tower:
Standing 70ft high is one of the best preserved
towers in the country.  Located just 6km north-east of Castlebar.

Knock Folk Museum:
This museum is filled with interesting artifacts from bygone years, not just in the religious vein, but from all aspects of rural life in Ireland.  Enjoy every detail in the life size replica cottage.

Clare Lake:
Located on the Ballinrobe road just outside Claremorris this is the towns largest green site and public amenity.  An excellent location for a family picnic or an afternoon out with friends.

The Old Railway Station/Sculpture:
This is a beautifully restored railway station dating back to 1895 and is set in a wonderful sculpture park.
