I.B.E.C. is currently interviewing young people to take part in its
acclaimed European Experience Programme. The programme offers young
unemployed (or underemployed) people the chance to learn a European
language, study and work abroad, and add to their skills and talents.
Under the programme, young people spend six weeks in language training
here locally (Castlebar), a further 3 months in a language school in
France or Germany, while living with a host family, and the final period
in employment in the target country.
Allowances are paid during the training, and there is a lump sum on
completion of all three phases. Those who are interested in this
