Castlebar Mitchels Hurling Club was the beneficiary of a coaching session for juveniles at the weekend, kindly provided by the C & C Drinks Company.

The session was run by All-Ireland Senior Medallists, Richie Power from Kilkenny & Larry Murphy from Wexford. It was attended by over 60 young players from Castlebar, who were put through their paces by the coaches. The visitors were very impressed by the large turnout & by the standard of skill displayed by the players. The techniques & playing methods imparted by the coaches were hugely beneficial to the players, and hopefully will further improve standards in the club.

Chief instigators of the coaching session were Finbar O'Doherty, Development Manager C & C and local publican Mick Byrne to whom the club is most grateful for their efforts.
