TIPS FOR YOU.
- Rub a small amount of Vaseline around the top of a newly opened nail varnish to stop it sticking.
- To remove stubborn wax from candle holders, simply pop them in the freezer and after a few hours the wax peels off easily.
- If a screw has become loose in it's hole, wrap some wire wool around the screw and re-insert it.
- If new shoes rub or cause blisters, soften the leather by rubbing a little soap inside them.
- If a rash appears after you've shaved your legs, soak a cotton wool pad in camomile lotion and place on the red skin. It should calm down within half an hour.
- To remove chewing gum from clothing, simply place the item in a bag in the freezer and after a day or so it should crack off easily.
- If an egg cracks when put into the boil, add salt to the water to prevent the white from escaping.
- Place hard-to-crack nuts, such as brazils in the fridge overnight and you'll find the shells will be much easier to remove the following day.
- If your hair is dry and brittle at the ends, smooth a little olive oil on to it(but not too near the scalp as it's greasy).For a great and cheap conditioner, leave it in for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water, followed by a cold rinse.
- To prevent a cake from breaking up while you are removing it from the tin, place the tin upside down on a damp cloth. The cake should now slip out easily.
- To keep biscuits nice and crisp for longer, put two sugar cubes in the container where they are stored. The sugar will stop them from going soft.
