October has been a quiet month with nothing much happening as we are preparing for our 25th Anniversary which takes place next month. As we are coming to the end of the year we are dedicating some of our celebrations to the Year of the Older Persons and some of our celebrations will be for the Millennium.

We have organised a week of events which starts off with Mass on Sunday 21st November. We have an Open Day in Tuesday 23rd which will give people a chance to see what goes on in the Centre. Throughout the week we have a series of talks for our Senior Citizens. One of our days is dedicated to music and dance. We have performances from pupils of the Irish School of Ballet and also Irish Dancing. We have music from various artists and also a Piano recital.

On Sunday 28th November the final day of our celebrations will be a luncheon for our Founder Members and Volunteers past and present sadly some of which are now deceased. It will also be for everyone else that is involved in the Centre. There will be music on the day and should be a day to mark the Year of Older Persons and also Pre-Millennium Celebrations.
