Sport a Smile and get Active for a Great Cause
If you need some extra motivation to get active, then why not sign up for the DeCare Dental Sport a Smile 5 mile run/walk on Saturday 25th August at 6pm. The event is held each year in Claremorris in aid of Mayo Cancer Support Association, with all proceeds going to this worthy charity.

At 5 miles, the race is a good challenge for runners and walkers alike and represents the 5th leg of the Mayo A.C. open road race.

The event is also a firm family favourite with a Live DJ, great giveaways, face painting and even guest appearances from the Tooth Fairy rumoured to be on the cards this year.

Maureen Walsh, CEO of DeCare comments ‘We're now in our 11th year of the DeCare Dental Sport a Smilerun/walk and have raised over €115,000 for charity, thanks to the support of race participants, local businesses and supporters. Even the rain doesn't seem to dampen the spirits of our race goers and supporters so we hope that this year is no exception. And who knows, maybe the sun will even shine."

For those who wish to enter the Sport a Smile run/walk, registration is available in advance through www.runirealand.com or on race day at Maxwells, Market Square, Claremorris from 4 to 6 pm. The race starts at 6pm from the square in Claremorris with refreshments afterwards for all participants and prizes for key race categories.
