It cost over €1,000,000 to build. We had great fun raising the local contribution.
We had concerts and sponsored walks. We also made St. Brigid's crosses and football headbands to sell.
The grown-ups held dances, Fair Days, card games and a Big Raffle.
We moved into our new school building on 6th Nov '00. It wasn't quite finished but we had an emergency, because our old school was extensively damaged by fire.
Thanks to all our parents, teachers and our many friends in the community and outside, we now have a state of the art building in which to learn.
The final cost was €1,270,000.
Since the Board of management gave us two new playgrounds and a roundabout. They commisioned a spectacular sculpture for the roundabout. We are very proud of our school and our community.
