WHO WANTS TO BE A THOUSANDAIRE

 

A very successful fundraising event was undertaken by The Carracastle Child and Youth Care Projects. This combined three community groups, Scoil Iosa, The Pre & After School Care Committee and The Sportsfield Development Committee

A Publicity Launch was held in K.D's. Fri. 29th. of September at 8.30. with Tommy Marren as M.C. The main sponsor of the event was Michael Kelly of Burleigh Accountancy.

'Who Wants to Be A Thousandaire Quiz Show' ,
in Kennedy's, Doocastle, on Fri. 20th. Oct.

 

Phone a friend and ask the audience were the buzz words on everyones lips in Kennedy's Doocastle, on Friday night October 20th as the quiz show "Who Wants to be a Thousandaire?" came to town with a bang. A very large crowd packed into Kennedy's as various contestants pitted their wits against the computer and attempted to win the many cash prizes on offer.

The Carracastle Child and Youth Care Committee would like to extend a sincere thanks to Michael Kelly of Burleigh Accountancy who sponsored the whole event, to Kennedy's Doocastle for hosting the show and for the warm welcome they extended to everyone. To the guest celebrity Angelina Mc Hugh from Mid-west radio, to all the many businesses who sponsored the advertisements which were shown on the night, to the people who donated money and raffle prizes, to all those who bought tickets to support the night, to Caroline Morley who provided the refreshments, to Mary Kathleen Henry for the disco entertainment which went down a real treat in the aftermath of the main event. To Pallas Marketing for doing such a professional job and finally to everyone who helped out in any way with this very successful fundraising venture. Míle Buíochas diobh go léir.
